Something Loved
I am not trying to be redundant, but I am enjoying spending more time on this blog again! February was a difficult month for us on so many levels. Even still, there is hope in the darkness and I am so thankful for it. Yesterday, we went out and explored Lake Erie, which is currently frozen over. It was a wonderful experience and you can see my pictures here, if you are interested.
This morning, I noticed a frozen icicle that is curved! I don't know that I have ever seen one like this, so I attempted to take a few pictures.

Something Learned
I recently finished two books that both fabulous in their own way. The first is Ten Words to Live By by Jen Wilkin. Wilkin states, "In the church today there exists a great forgetfulness about the role of the law in the life of the believer. This book is an exercise in remembrance." Spoiler alert, the 10 words to live by are the ten commandments, and I will never look at them the same after having read this book, especially not taking the name of the Lord in vain.
The second book is Jesus Doesn't Care About Your Messy House He Cares About Your Heart by Dana K. White. In this book we walk with Dana in her efforts to keep her house clean, despite her best efforts. I don't struggle with keeping my house clean, but this book was easy to read, and relatable. I learned quite a bit from it.
"Jesus cares about your messy house if you care about your messy house."
"Saying cleanliness is next to godliness isn't just not right; it's wrong. The concept implies we get closer to God by washing behind our ears or by doing the dishes."
Working out has gone fabulously well and it is all because of the Fit On app, which I learned about right at the end of January. I describe in detail what I love about it here. Most days no matter how I feel, I am able to do something with the app, whether it is just stretching, or actually working out. The more I do, the more I want to do.
Something I Let Go Of
What is something you have loved, accomplished, improved upon, or noticed this month?? To see what other bloggers are sharing this month head over to Jennifer's blog.
Oh, the snow on the fir trees is so pretty! We had trees like that at my childhood home, and seeing the pictures brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bethany!
DeleteI read the Jen Wilkin's book and thought it was good as well. That curved icicle is neat looking! I'm sorry that your month has been hard. Here's hoping that the last few days of the month will be better and March even better yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks Maria!
DeleteThat curved icicle is so neat as are all the frozen lake photos. Our lake (which is very small!) freezes most years but we never get waves that freeze!
