"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

My year in pictures-January 2025

It has been over a year since I did my year in pictures. Last year was a hard year, with so many different distractions there wasn't room for many "extras," plus I just had a hard time remembering things. I am hoping to highlight pictures again this year that represent each month (someone keep me accountable, LOL).

I first saw this idea on Jennifer's blog and thought it was a great idea. The idea is to pick one photo from the month, a photo to highlight the month. Jennifer is using the photo to recap the month and at the end of the year see a recap of the year.

January can be summed up in one word: SNOW ❄❄❄❄

But, since I am wordy, I will expound on it. We had snow on the ground for 31 days in January. It started snowing on January 1st and seemed to snow the entire month. It didn't, but it did snow quite a bit. On the 31st it started raining, which I thought would melt all our snow, but it didn't! It did melt quite a bit, but we went to bed and woke up this morning (Feb. 1) and it had snowed again, LOL! The snow did melt some today, but we still have a little bit. I am not complaining. I enjoy the snow, especially when I don't have to go out.

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! Psalm150:6

  1. It’s so great that you’re doing a "year in pictures" again! Your January photo sounds like the perfect snapshot of what seems to have been a snowy month for you. 31 days of snow is definitely a lot! But I love how you’re able to find joy in it, especially when you don’t have to venture out. It’s also nice to see the spiritual touch with the verses; they’re a lovely way to start the year with reflection and gratitude. Here’s to keeping the tradition going throughout the year! Keep us posted—I'm sure the photos will be beautiful highlights!
