 Welcome to Encounters With the Davis Family! 

I am Cindy and I am married to my best friend, Matt. God has blessed us with two amazing young adults, Kayla and Elijah. We love to play games together (board, video, it's all good!), explore new places, and watch movies or TV together. 

I am a highly sensitive introvert, who loves completely, feels deeply, and enjoys one on one conversations rather than group gatherings. I can be sarcastic, serious, and love to defuse a tense situation with humor. I have my silly moments too. I love to read, write about my thoughts, hopes, and dreams, and love learning about new things. I am a book nerd in every sense of the word! I love the new book smell, we have books in every room of our house, and I am ALWAYS in a book or two...

This page was originally designed to keep family and friends up-to-date on things that were happening with our family. While that is still the original intent, I have also started to add book reviews, an occasional recipe, and random thoughts! Maybe in the future I will expand, but for now, this is enough for me.

What you WILL find here:

GOD-I am a Christ-follower so you will see Bible verses, Christian books etc. Obviously not everything I post has a mention of Christ, but I hope to represent Him well through this blog.

HONESTY-No matter what I post or review or the reason for the review, I will always post my thoughts and opinions.

Encouragement-Don't we all need it? I want to be an encouraging uplifting site, although I am sure there is some negativity/complaining in some of my posts...I am not perfect. 

A Connection-I LOVE to connect with people and make friends. I love comments on the blog and opinions on what you would love to see here. Hopefully some of the stories I share here will make a difference.

    You won't find any of your "What you will NOT find here" things on my blog either. My favorite saying is "Be Kind".
