"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Share Four Somethings-March 2025

March usually feels like the longest month for me, but this month flew by. I am still struggle to believe the month is basically over!! Our prompts for the Share Four Somethings link-up are some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of. While the prompts may be new, our host is not, we are still linking up with Jennifer

Something Loved

I bought tickets back in September for the Toby Mac Hits Deep tour as one of our Christmas presents. The concert was this month! Matt has always enjoyed Toby Mac (back when he was with Third Day), and Elijah has kept up with his music as well. I had the opportunity to see Cain in concert in the fall of 2023 while on a ladies retreat. I LOVED it and have been wanting to see them in concert again. So, they were the band I was most excited to see. Ryan Stevenson, Crowder (another of Elijah's favorite's), and Terrian also performed. We had a blast enjoying our final Christmas present ðŸ¤©

Something Learned

I read an incredible book this month called Delighting in JesusThe author issued an invitation: If you're weary or disheartened, this book is for you. If you feel the crush of darkness closing in, this book is for you. If you sense that longing for joy throbbing in your heart, this book is for you. One of many quotes that spoke to me, "Joy and delight are at the heart of God's good plan for His people." I have hundreds of highlights in the book and over 30 tabs. I can't recommend it enough.

Something That Went Well

I have made (and almost finished) a quilt to hang on the wall of my bedroom. It is a book quilt (anyone surprised?). As I was cutting fabrics to make the "books" I decided to use leftover scraps from previous projects, making the quilt even more special. For example, I used the chicken fabric to make a quillow for my brother-in-law last year for Christmas. I used the baking fabric to make my sister a cover for her Kitchen Aid Mixer. I used the yellow fabric with pink flowers, and the fabric that says flowers to make my mom a quillow for Christmas last year as well. The Star Wars fabric I had made my husband an apron out of.

Something I Let Go Of

So many things this month! First, we started the process of letting go of our business, Stitch in Time. My daughter and I started it in June 2023, but my stress cannot handle running a business any longer. Second, my husband and I I cleaned out part of the basement, sending stuff to a thrift store, other things to recycling, and I saved several things for my junk journal. I continue to go through older Bible Studies as time permits.

"To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Philippians 4:20

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17
