"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Favorite Pictures from September

Yes, I am late on posting this, especially since we are about half way through October 🤦. However, I want to see this through for the year and it's not too late to post 😉.

I first saw this idea on Jennifer's blog and thought it was a great idea. The idea is to pick one photo from the month, a photo to highlight the month. Jennifer is using the photo to recap the month and at the end of the year see a recap of the year.

There are two memories I want to highlight for September. I am sure if I thought about it, there would be even more, but I am going to do the ones that meant the most to me. The first pictures represent me and Matt going out for a date. This might not seem like much, but it is SO rare. We don't like spending money on dates, especially when there is so much more that the money needs to go to. We would love to go on dates more often, but it's just not something we make time for or budget for. I know, send an intervention 😂. And, of course we would go out for coffee and to a bookstore 😀.

Next, I actually traveled, WITHOUT my family at the end of September/beginning of October. I went to Pennsylvania for the first time ever, with some ladies from my church for a ladies retreat. I wanted to do some exploring before we started our weekend, but didn't know what to do, so didn't do anything 🤦. Friday night, we went to the Cain concert. They were on tour with David Leonard and Katy Nicole. It was a FABULOUS night. So uplifting and fun. Here are a few pictures from that weekend.

Do you have a favorite memory from September? If so, I would love for you to share!

  1. What fun - a ladies retreat!! And to another state - that is cool. So you have found a church and have gotten plugged in? That's wonderful...I know that really helps when moving, etc. Glad you had a date as well. The whole date night thing seems trendy - and for the generation younger than my husband and me! LOL We have "dates" all week - especially now that he is retired!!:)

    1. Jennifer, I am plugged into my church, but my husband and son are not, for a variety of reasons. We are not sure if we will stay at this one or not, time will tell. With kids still living at home, we should prioritize dates, but it's just hard! We don't get a lot of time together, but it's okay. LOL, that's great that you and your husband get dates all the time!!
