"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Toby Mac Hits Deep Tour-Columbus

I bought tickets back in September for the Toby Mac Hits Deep tour as one of our Christmas presents. Matt has always enjoyed Toby Mac (back when he was with Third Day), and Elijah has kept up with his music as well. I had the opportunity to see Cain in concert in the fall of 2023 while on a ladies retreat. I LOVED it and have been wanting to see them in concert again. So, they were the band I was most excited to see. Ryan Stevenson, Crowder (another of Elijah's favorite's), and Terrian also performed. We had a blast enjoying our final Christmas present 🤩

We were/are familiar with all the artists that sang, and enjoy songs from all of them. I have to say, Ryan Stevenson started the concert off, but his time was so short that he just did snippets of his songs. That made him a little forgettable. Terrian was the artist that we have heard the least from. Her song that is most recognizable is Big God, which I love. I missed it at the concert because I was on a potty break, LOL. The other songs she sang were slower and not quite as enjoyable.

I would say I was most enthralled with Toby Mac, Crowder, and Cain. It was amazing hearing parts of Toby Mac's story after the loss of his son six years ago. And, while I loved the music, I most enjoyed seeing the excitement and smiles from Kayla, Elijah, and even Matt as they enjoyed the music and different parts of the concert. I was also happy to see a young man in the row in front of us, pouring out his praise during the concert, giving it his all.

So, here are pictures from our adventure, some I took and some that were on shared from others that I am sharing here. We don't enjoy crowds, especially since 2020, but it is always worth it to see bands we love in concert, despite the crowds.

At dinner, we ate Red Robbin for the first time. The burger was super good. The picture of all four of us was in line for the concert. It was a warmer day but once we got in the car the temp kept dropping, it was COLD!

I am still listening to Somebody Prayed by Crowder four days after the concert. It was my first time hearing it, but it is such a great song.

The energy in the room was amazing. It was a wonderful, worship-filled night and we would do it again in a heartbeat. And, I hope I am able to move as well as Toby Mac when I am his age! Although, I already can't jump as high as him, LOL!

Thank you, Lord, for the gifts you give others to lead us in worship of You.

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! Psalm150:6
