"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Favorite Picture from February

I first saw this idea on Jennifer's blog and thought it was a great idea. The idea is to pick one photo from the month, a photo to highlight the month. Jennifer is using the photo to recap the month and at the end of the year see a recap of the year.

I am not sure if I will do this every month but it has been on my mind for at least a week, so I am going to do February. I did January and if you would like to see that picture and post you can check it out here.

February was a weird month for us, with lots of sickness. I won't rehash that since I feel like I have beat that point to death. However, because of that, I didn't take a lot of pictures. In fact, the one I am sharing is not one I took at all...it was shared with me from Kayla 😁

Why did I choose this picture?

It represents so many things!

First of all, it's my loves!

Second, it represents the fact that it no longer takes Kayla 10 hours to get home. She came home on a Thursday night, spent the night, had a job interview at Chick-fil-A, where she saw Elijah and took this picture, and then went back to school for her 1 o'clock class.

Third, it represents their relationship. They are close!

Fourth, it represents their personalities. They are funny, but they practically share a brain when they are around each other, and it is hilarious.

Fifth, it is a reminder of part of our "why" for moving to Ohio. So we can be close if Kayla should need us, or just need a break from school. It is WONDERFUL being this close and being able to see her for more than just the big breaks.

Finally, I love it because I am thankful for these gifts that God has entrusted us with. I am thankful for the relationship they have, I am thankful that Kayla still WANTS to come home and be around her family. I am thankful she brings her friends around to see us as well.

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17
