"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Little glimpses of happiness

I am in a difficult season. It has been seven months since I have found the time/will-power/motivation/whatever you want to call it, to do a post like this. It's not that I haven't had things to be thankful for, I have. I am just on the struggle bus.

But, this = Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6

So, instead of calling this Thursday encouragement, I am going to share little glimpses of happiness.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Things I am thankful for today:

  • birthday money from my boss
  • Kayla is coming in tonight to be here this weekend for my birthday
  • health insurance
  • doctor's appointments that have gone well
  • Bath and Body works splurge
  • time to read
  • books to read
  • time with Matt and Elijah
  • games
  • daily walks
  • a 3-day weekend

Sometimes it really is the little things.
Now it's your turn! Share something you are thankful for, or where you find encouragement, or what has recently made you laugh, or whatever else you feel like sharing that could be an encouragement to me or others.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11

  1. Those bath & body works scents sound great and your books look so cute. This week I was thankful for time with friends, thankful to check out a wonderful new museum near us with the most amazing and passionate workers, and for lots of really delicious foods.

  2. Those books look cute. I mean, strictly judging a book by its cover! Have you read them? A bergamot candle also sounds really nice. And, wait, birthday money from your boss!! Now, that is nice!! Nice boss:) Hope you had a wonderful birthday...here's to a good year ahead!
