"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Share Four Somethings April 2025

I have no idea how we are in the last weekend of April. This month flew by! Our prompts for the Share Four Somethings link-up are some things we loved, some
things we learned, some things that we
nt well, and some things we let go of. While the prompts may be new, our host is not, we are still linking up with Jennifer

Something Loved

Elijah turned 20 this month! I no longer have any teenagers in the house, we are officially in young adult territory-send help! Elijah ended up with a stack of books, at least 7! I also got to see my sister and brother (and families) for a quick visit (they live in TN). While I didn't love the reason I saw them (I went to drive my sister to surgery), I loved getting to see them, even briefly. I also enjoyed feeding my sister's chickens grass, there is something oddly relaxing about it!

Something Learned

I learned we are still in a housing crisis. We are wanting to move (downsize) so have started the house hunting process. Several houses we wanted to see immediately went into bidding wars and we just walked away. We are not in such a hurry to deal with that mess.

Something That Went Well

I finished my bookshelf quilt and got it hung up this month! You can see all the pictures here.

Something I Let Go Of

I had plans to get at least eleven posts up on this blog this month. That did not come even close to happening, so I had to let it go. I also let go of about 15 books that I sent to a Free Little Library.

"To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Philippians 4:20

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

What is something you have loved, accomplished, improved upon, or noticed this month?? To see what other bloggers are sharing this month head over to Jennifer's blog.

  1. Happy Birthday to your son! I hope he had a great birthday :). This year is the last one that I will have a teenager. It will be feel strange to have all twenty somethings! Good luck with your house hunting/bidding/selling of your house. Hopefully the housing crisis ends soon. Have a great day!

  2. We have a few street libraries around us but I just stick mine on the fence. I get joy watching things go (I put toys and soaps and other things out there). Hope the surgery went well. And lovely month - don't stress about the blog posts. Just gives people more time to read what's there. Off to -peek at the quilt.

  3. All the birthday photos look so fun - what a great celebration! So nice you could see family and were able to help your sister out. Family time is always precious. I'm very curious about your bookshelf quilt - headed over to look at those photos now!
