"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Book Blanket Update (crochet)

As I mentioned in February I am doing a book blanket with classic granny squares. Instead of doing a classic granny square with five or six rounds, I am choosing to do mine with four rounds. In the post I shared last month, I had pictures from seven squares that I had completed.

Now, we are at the end of the first quarter of the year (can you believe it?!), I wanted to do another update.

According to Goodreads, I have read 60 books so far this year. This includes books that I did not finish (DNF). I will not do squares for the books I did not finish, or the ones that I did not enjoy. I will do squares for all the books I have given, 5, 4, and some 3-star ratings. At this point in time, that is 39 books (Mar. 30). I have completed 33 squares. For a little bit I was caught up, but then I started crocheting a baby blanket, so the granny squares have taken a back burner. Once the baby blanket is finished, I will get completely caught up on the granny squares. (and I also started another blanket in April!)

Here are some of my favorites that I have finished:

AS you can see from the pictures, I am doing fiction and nonfiction. I am enjoying seeing the squares coming together. I typically crochet when we are watching tv, or if we are watching church online, or on the weekends while listening to an audiobook. It is relaxing and fun. I have no idea how the finished project will look, but I am excited for it. Have you done something like this before? Is it something you would like to do?
