Something Loved
I loved celebrating Kayla's 23rd birthday this month! It's so hard to believe she is a real adult, with a real job, living on her own. I am so stinkin' proud of her!

I finished two fabulous nonfiction books this month, which I learned things from. The first was Follow God's Will: Biblical Guidelines for Everyday Life by Brittany Ann. A quote that spoke to me: Simply believing that Jesus existed or that He was a good moral teacher isn't enough. Jesus isn't calling us to be believe that he existed but to believe that He is who He says He is and He can do what He says He can do.
The second book was Flourish: Grace-Centered Practices to Protect and Grow a Fruitful Life In Christ by Ava Pennington. A quote that spoke to me: ...When you cannot hear God, you will find that He has trusted you in the most intimate way possible-with absolute silence, not a silence of despair, but one of pleasure, because He saw that you could withstand an even bigger revelation.
Both books are fabulous and I highly recommend them.
Again, it was a harder month, but I did some extra blogging and I did Thursday encouragement posts each week. Celebrating Kayla's birthday also went well.
I am still letting go of books. I also took more time to go through clothes and cleaned out more. I had some I was holding onto because of who gave them to me, but I wasn't wearing them. I don't want to be a storage facility so I got rid of them. I still need to go through my church clothes, but I wasn't quite ready to do that yet.
What is something you have loved, learned, went well, or let go of this month?? To see what other bloggers are sharing this month head over to Jennifer's blog.
I feel similar about the year just zooming by! (And feeling like I haven't gotten enough done). I'm trying to embrace this season of forced slowness and trust that slow growth is still growth.
