I had a health setback this week. I started getting sick again last Wednesday, which means I never really got over what I had. I went back to the doctor on Sunday and I have a secondary bacterial infection. She put me on an antibiotic, but I am still sick. This crud does not want to go away.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Things I am thankful for today:
- an understanding boss-I had to be off work again on Monday and today
- God's provision-Matt's car is in the shop and they gave him a loaner for free (yay!). When he started to work on Tuesday he realized the tire was low so he went to three different gas stations trying to find an air pump that worked. When he did, he realized there was a huge screw in the tire which is why it was low. He got safely back to the fix-it place, got the tire patched, and then to work and back safely. Had he not realized the tire was low, that could have been very bad with his 30 mile commute, mostly on interstate
- I finished Jane Eyre which feels like a huge accomplishment
- new glasses
- lots of rest this week
- we are still getting showings on our house
- hot tea
- cough drops
- essential oils
- I cleaned out my clothes that I no longer wear or are stained
- health insurance
- books to read

Made me laugh:

Some places I find encouragement:

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6
Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11
Oh thanks for some laughs! I don't laugh nearly enough (um, rarely) so it felt good today. And, oh yes, here is to a day when my hair does something vaguely obedient!! The daily struggle! I do hope you are feeling better soon. A hundred percent even. Until then, be easy on yourself. Enjoy the times of rest (even if they are unplanned). Will say a quick prayer for you this afternoon -
ReplyDeleteJennifer-thank you for stopping by! I went back to the doctor this morning and my left maxillary sinus to full, so it's more antibiotics and nasal sprays, but it sure gave me hope that it will finally end this!! It's been a long month of sickness. Laughter is truly the best medicine and I hope you find more things to make you laugh!! Thank you for the prayers, they are really appreciated!
DeleteThanks for all the notes of encouragement! It is a blessing to know that we can pray and God hears. I hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol.
