"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Thursday Encouragement 10/23/25

I went back to the doctor last Thursday. He extended my antibiotics by another 10 days, added two nasal sprays, ordered me to get 15-30 minutes of sunshine each day we have it, and go back on my inhaler (that I rarely use because it's for "as needed.") I am finally feeling better (the cough and some congestion are still here), but I am definitely improving. I have started getting back into ALL my routines this week, and was thrilled to be back with my ladies Bible study group yesterday morning.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Things I am thankful for today:

  • being able to go back to the gym
  • getting in a few walks again this week (and hitting 10,000 steps)
  • being able to go back to Bible Study
  • the rain we've had
  • a doctor that listens
  • health insurance that works despite the government being shut down
  • more books from the library
  • being able to go back to work
My list is a littler shorter today and my heart is a little heavier. My mom was admitted to the hospital with fluid on her lungs and will be having it drained today. I am obviously concerned about her, I can't ever recall her being in the hospital. But, I am also thankful she is getting the care that she needs.

Made an impact:

Made me laugh:

Some places I find encouragement:

I love the First 5 app

Now it's your turn! Share something you are thankful for, or where you find encouragement, or what has recently made you laugh, or whatever else you feel like sharing that could be an encouragement to me or others.

Let everything that has breath praise the LordPraise the Lord. Psalm 150:6

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11
