"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Share Four Somethings November 2024

Hi, it's me, Cindy. I didn't mean to disappear for four months!!! I think August sprouted wings and time just went! How are we at the end of November?! I have posted a few things recently, but I am still not being very faithful to this blog. I would like to do better, but I make no promises. Time does not seem to be my own recently.

Anyway, I am happy to be able to look back over the month and link up with Jennifer to share my Four Somethings. I will be sharing things I've loved or disliked, something accomplished, something improved upon/or needs to be improved, and something I've noticed.

Something Loved or Disliked

I think if I try to hit all the months I missed, this post would be too long. So, I will mention a few things here. I went to the JustRead Rendezvous this year and I had a great time. It is a time of worship, meeting Christian authors, other bloggers and readers. I have two posts about it (with a ton of pictures). You can learn more here and here. My husband and I did a lot of hiking over the last two months and that has been fun. I took a day trip to Indianapolis yesterday. I loved getting to see my mom, older sister, her husband, and one of my nephews.

Something Accomplished

We got our Christmas decorations up on Thanksgiving day! This year, that feels like a major accomplishment, LOL! This could have also been under something loved, because we love setting up our tree and looking back at all the ornaments, and remembering what they stand for (we have always gotten our kids a new ornament each year that was major for that year. In 2021 we got then W2 ornaments because it was the first year they worked. This year, we got Kayla a graduation ornament since she graduated college in May, and we got Elijah a pickleball ornament because it is something he learned to play this year, and he has played a lot with his friends over the last few months.

Something Improved upon or needs improvement

My health is an on-going work in progress. I have been working with my functional medicine doctor for over a year. We ran more blood work and tests recently, and we are waiting on the results from a final test to see what needs to be adjusted with my supplements, and how I can best move forward. Something else that I improved upon was finding new meals for us to enjoy! I bought several new cookbooks lately and it revitalized our eating :) When you have food sensitivities and food intolerances, finding new ways to eat the same things are HUGE. And, we have started eating daily smoothies, so my kids are FINALLY getting a decent amount of fruit in, LOL! It feels like winning.

Something Noticed

Anyone else take a bunch of screen shots and eventually get back to them? Here are some I have recently taken, and now have been brought back to my attention. Most are books I plan to put in my Goodreads TBR in the hopes of eventually reading them!

    1. Lydia, LOL, I understand. I like them up for about 4-6 weeks, then I am done. I usually take them down by New Year's Day. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Joanne, we open them when we put up our Christmas tree, so it kind of sneaks up on me!
