"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Hidden Lake, Illinois

Last week Matt and I were in Illinois for a reader event. After spending hours in the car on Wednesday, and knowing we were going to be sitting most of the day Friday and back in the car on Saturday, we decided Thursday morning would be a great day to hike.

It was on the chilly side, but we loved the views. The trails were nice, between the two of them almost 2 miles. They were nice and wide, handicap accessible, and most had views of the lake. The only downside was there was a bunch of road noise. Part of that was machinery work on one side of the lake, which we hadn't seen with the way we entered the lake.

I imagine it is really pretty in the spring and fall, regardless, we enjoyed our hike. If you are ever near Downer's Grove, Illinois, I highly recommend this as a nice place to walk.
