"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Housing Update

We have only been homeless for a few days but it feels like forever 😂 I think because we packed up half our stuff in August, so it has been a long time of packing and feeling unsettled.

Elijah and I are using this time at our in-laws to rest and process. The last few months have been so busy we have had a hard time processing anything. Even though I have packed up our entire house and the moving truck, it still doesn't feel real that we are moving to Ohio! Now, with Elijah sick, it is even more important that he rest. Unfortunately, for Matt, this is not a restful time, as his work commute is now well over an hour, so he is getting less time to rest.

I know we are all more than ready to be settled and Kayla is ready to have us closer. The original closing date was set for November 11th. It seems people just realized today that it is a holiday, Veteran's day. So, we can't close on the 11th because the title office won't be open. Long story short, we are closing Wednesday at 5pm BUT the paperwork will be processed on Thursday, the 10th. Once it is processed we will then get the keys 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have never heard of the process being done this way. Is it common where you are? We have no idea what time we will get the keys or what time we will be able to get in on Thursday. I am a type A planner and this information makes it hard to plan 😂. Matt and his dad want us to hire movers to move our stuff in, but if we don't know the time, we don't know what time to set it for. We want to have the carpet replaced and have been trying to coordinate all that. You all, send help, I need these things settled 😂 Anyway, I am thankful we are getting in a day sooner, especially since Matt was already off on Friday, so that gives him an extra day of helping unpack boxes, move furniture, or whatever needs to be done to settle us faster. I am thankful that each day brings us closer to getting settled again. I am excited and nervous about this new chapter, but I know Who is in control, and I know everything is going to work out. Please continue to pray for us during this transition period, pray that Elijah gets to feeling better soon, and none of the rest of us get sick.
