"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Share Four Somethings June 2026

I am not sure how we are at the end of June, yet here we are. Blogging has been difficult for me for the past few months, for a variety of reasons, but I am trying really hard to play catch-up on this blog, with most things. I missed this post last month, but I am happy to be back this month. Anyway, our prompts for the Share Four Somethings link-up for this year are: something we loved, something we are carrying forth from this month to next, something that sustained us, and some thing we are making space for.

Something Loved

This month my husband turned 50! While it was a very small celebration, it was worth celebrating! Something else I loved this month was my younger sister and her family coming for a visit. We did a lot of things, which I hope to talk about more on the blog in the coming month. I am still playing catchup with some of May's posts.

Something We Are Carrying Forth from this month to the next

I have made zero progress on the quilts I have talked about in previous posts. Some of it has been because of health issues, and partly because the sun is out so we NEED to be out (IYKYK). One of the things we are working toward is our next house. We are in a short-term rental, so we are looking for our next house...even though we can't do much about it until October.

Something That Sustained Us

Jesus.

Some Things We Are Making Space For

I don't know why, but this is a very hard prompt for me. As I finish books I will not read again, I am donating them to Little Free Libraries, making space for new books, I guess, LOL! We moved Kayla into her new place this month, so we have made more space in her room and our house...but have no plans to fill that space. Am I the only one who struggles with these prompts?!

"To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Philippians 4:20

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

  1. No you are not the only one! I struggle so much with making space for and something I'm carrying forward. Those two are real hard for me every month. It sounds like you had a lovely time with your sister and celebrating your husband's 50th!

  3. Happy 50th birthday to your husband! Every milestone birthday (well, every birthday, really) is worth celebrating.

You're not the only one who struggles with some of the prompts this year. I do, too. I sometimes just choose 4 things I love, then figure out how they can fit into the 4 categories. lol. It's been an interesting challenge!
