"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Share Four Somethings February 2026

February was another rough month. We had Covid in our house, and I missed lots of work. I finally went back, only to have the girls get sick again (hoping and praying I don't catch their junk). I am REALLY hoping spring brings better weather, health, and all the things! We have some new prompts for the Share Four Somethings link-up for this year they are: something we loved, something we are carrying forth from this month to next, something that sustained us, and some thing we are making space for (these prompts are SO much harder for me than the others, I just don't think like this). I will try to get my graphic updated before next month's post.

Date day, homes + coffee

One of the things we would love to be able to do is to build our next home. Matt has always wanted a little bit of land (the older I get, the less I desire it), but I get it. He doesn't want to be super close to our neighbors, and he doesn't want to be in a neighborhood.

Scary Words

January tenth I woke up not feeling well. I had a fever of 101. But, I only had it mid-morning. Sunday morning I woke up without a fever, but two hours later had it again for a few hours. I didn't have a lot of other symptoms. My head felt weird and I sounded congested, but I didn't feel congested. I wasn't surprised I was sick as the girls I nanny had been sick Thursday and Friday. Monday, I woke up with a fever. Around 10:30 that morning I was writing some stuff on my calendar when the left side of my face started tingling. At first, it was just near the ear, but within a few minutes it was the whole side of my face. I wasn't sure if I should go to the doctor or not, so I called my doctor's office. After speaking with a nurse, she told me to go to Strongsville Express care.

My Year in Pictures January 2026

January was a difficult month. There is not a lot I want to remember from it, but I will anyway. I first saw this idea on Jennifer's blog and thought it was a great idea. The idea is to pick one photo from the month, a photo to highlight the month. Jennifer is using the photo to recap the month and at the end of the year see a recap of the year.
